PART ONE: NEED YOU
Logan Echolls liked Veronica's hair better when it'd been that short "fuck you" self-styled tribute to her world. But he'd never tell her that.
She's standing in the doorway to his penthouse suite at the Grand. That silky blonde hair of hers pulled back into a simple ponytail. She's got a plastic white shopping bag in one hand and a pizza box in the other. The pizza smelled so good that Logan's mouth began to water.
"I didn't know what either of you really wanted." She said, crossing the threshold and dumping the shopping bag full what appeared to be Chinese and the pizza on the coffee table. "So I got a selection."
Veronica smiles shyly at them. Logan still at the now closed door and Weevil's on the couch.
Nope.
Logan was definitely never ever going to mention just how much he liked Veronica's hair. Short or otherwise.

Eli Navarro would never ever mention that having takeout and watching bad movies on Echolls cable, on Echolls couch in Echolls suite with the man himself and Veronica Mars was something he actually enjoyed.
And he would definitely never mention to either of them or anyone else for that matter, that he enjoyed their company. Although sometimes, when Echolls and Veronica got into the same room it might be a bit 'electric' at best. But tonight... both of them were on their best behavior.
Veronica sat between them. The couch was comfortable with the three of them on it despite that no matter how they sat they'd touch. So Weevil sat achingly still his thigh pressed to Veronica's, and her other side, Weevil noticed, so was Logan's.
No... Eli Navarro was not going to even consider how much he enjoyed hanging out with Echolls and Mars.

Veronica Mars would never tell Logan or Weevil how hard it had been to concentrate sitting between them. Logan would only give her that knowing smirk that irritated her just so and she had no idea how Weevil would react. The precise reason why she would never mention it. Ever.
To anyone.
Lilly would have been disappointed.
There she was. Sitting between the two teenage boys and she just stared at the TV. Veronica supposed it didn't help that both those boys were Lilly's ex's. Floating in the misty aftermath of her death. Somehow Lilly had brought them together... even if she hadn't meant to.
And, Veronica stubbornly told herself as she snuggled into bed that night, there was no way in hell she was going think about how good it felt.

Lilly Kane watched the exchange of her best friend and former lovers with a detached curiosity.
Being deceased wasn't as cool as the movies made it out to be. Eventually, people stopped remembering you, you just, kinda, faded away.
But not Lilly Kane. She was going to fight going into the big oblivion. She wanted to watch her friends as long as possible. And hoped that they wouldn't fuck around with each other too long. Not in the physical sense of course, that's what Lilly wanted them to do. But noooo... too friggin occupied with their 'feelings'... geez... sometimes Lilly thought she was watching an episode of Dawson's Creek... too much sexual tension not enough action.
If only Veronica could hear her. Lilly's be shouting; "Fuck them dorkus!" But Veronica Mars had stopped listening for Lilly Kane's voice. And that almost hurt Lilly. Almost.
